Origins
During some holidays in the Entre Ríos (Province of Argentina), when we visited a Kennel that breeded "potentially dangerous breeds", searching for a guarding and defending dog, actually, a Giant Schnauzer, I met a Dogo Argentino female. It was called Nieves and it was the one that guarded the house where the owner lived along with his wife and his 7 kids from 2 months to 12 years of age. Not even I had arrived, Nieves sat on my foot and started to kiss me, she put her face up in order that I pet her stomach and kept giving me kisses. Goodbye Schnauzer! I wanted a dog like that! How did she had that kind temperament? Dont they say that the Dogo is a "killer dog"? I
started to ask the breeder about the advantages and disadvantages
of the breed. He told us - among other things - that the breed was
not really estimated in our country, which did not happen in other
countires. And that in general, the problem was the owner and not
the dog. I
wanted a puppy son of Nieves, but, finally she did not get pregnant.
A
few months later, and going for a walk through the forest of the city
of La Plata, Argentina, I saw a lot of dogos, it was a dog show organized
by Club del Dogo Argentino - Filial La Plata - I started
searching who might sell me a puppy; someone introduced me to Patricio
Ghigliani, to whom we bought an amazing bitch:
"Vincha de Cinco Montes" (Gringa) and inmediately
started our passion for this beautiful breed. Later,
in the Estancia La Cocha, in the opportunity of celebrating the 100
years of the birth of the Dr. Antonio Nores Martínez",
creator of the breed, event at which there were persons from United
States of America, Italy, New Zealand and Brazil, among others, we
knew Mr. Ulises D'Andrea Nores to whom we bought a puppy:
India 1ra.
de La Cocha y and we also met Mr. Fernando Centurión
from whom we acquired Yerba
de Gran Togo (Chiara). Searching for a male to breed "Vincha de Cinco Montes", we contacted Mr. Carlos Bellavitis, owner of "Bravoure Blanche Kennel" and looking at the puppies that he had for sale, we liked one of them: Mora 1ra. Bravoure Blanche. Our
Affix The word Ayuí derives from the guaraní languaje and has three meanings: laurel (the tree), running waters (as the Arroyo Ayuí, that ends in the Uruguay River) and welcome to this place; the same we want to say to you: Welcome to our site, hoping that it is of your pleasure, and if you still do not know the first and only argentine breed, do not lose the opportunity to do it. |
